In the second phase of the unit we will focus on describing and defining public debates around an issue related to Internet Health. During this phase we will explore the issue from multiple, sometimes conflicting perspectives in a question-driven research process. The questions around the topic will be guided by staff from Mozilla and your tutors.
The outcome will be an online report structured by the questions and using data visualisations and information design to respond to that question.
The datasets for this phase can come from existing online sources and also personally constructed datasets. We will have a guest lecture who will introduce methods for scraping and constructing datasets from online sources such as search results and social media.
